Why Become a member?

There are many benefits to joining the National Senior Classical League. In addition to being able to attend convention as a member, you are also able to apply for scholarships and vote in elections as a primary and secondary member. Below, we have outlined the three tiers of membership, which begins at the first convention following high school graduation, and lasts indefinitely.

In addition to the below fees, there is also a four dollar convention fee for our members attending the NJCL Convention.

Regular

Regular, or Primary, membership is open to graduating high school seniors, who may join at the annual state or national convention. Membership lasts from the beginning of the first National assembly meeting to the fifth annual meeting (four years) after their high school graduation. Regular members can vote and run for national office.

Dues: $6 for 4 years of Regular Membership (not per year)

Associate

Associate, or Secondary, membership lasts from the sixth until the close of the ninth annual assembly meeting after high school graduation. Secondary members may vote, but may not hold elected office.

Dues: $4 for 4 years of Associate Membership (not per year)

TERTIARY

Tertiary membership represents the pinnacle of membership that a person obtains in NSCL. Membership begins at the tenth annual assembly meeting following high school graduation. Members may neither vote, nor hold elected office.

Dues: Free
